Getting in, and device access

Connect a crew member’s phone

Someone who can edit the team does this, usually the production manager.

1. Find the crew member

   Open the project’s Errands tab. In Comms, click Contacts.

2. Make their code

   Click Connect device on their row. A QR code opens. It lasts 5 minutes. Copy code copies it as text.

3. Scan it on the phone

   On iPhone, the app opens on Connect to your production with the camera ready. Point it at the code. On Android, tap Scan QR code.

4. Or paste it

   If you sent the code as text, tap Enter code manually on iPhone or Connect with a QR code on Android. Paste it and tap Connect.

The phone is now signed in as that person, on this production only. They see their own chat rooms, errands and call sheets.

Connect a shared device

Connect Device in the project header makes the same kind of code, but not for one person. A device that scans it signs in as you and sees the whole production. Use it for an office tablet, an edit machine or a camera phone.

Sign in with an account

Use this if you work on more than one production, or you also use the website.

1. On the app’s first screen, tap Sign in with your account.
2. Sign in with Google, Facebook, Amazon or email, the same as on the website.
3. Pick a production from the Projects list. To change later, tap Switch on the home screen.

A phone connected with a code can’t switch. It says This device is paired to a single project.

Sign out

On the home screen, tap Unpair on a phone connected with a code, or Sign out on one signed in with an account. To use the app again, you scan a new code or sign in again.

Revoke a device

A revoked device is signed out at once.

The app itself has no device list.
