Sending a runner

Click New Errand, add a title and an address, and pick the runner. It shows up in their CinemaCrew app. Locate on the card shows you where they are.

Send an errand

  1. Open the form

Click New Errand above the board.

  2. Fill it in

Give it a clear Title, like “Collect the 40mm from Panavision”. Add the Address, which is where the runner gets directions to. Pick the Assignee, set a Due time if there is one, and put order numbers or a contact name in Notes.

  3. Create it

Click Create Errand. The card lands in the Assigned column, and the job shows up in the runner’s app.

A name marked (not on app) in the Assignee list belongs to someone who hasn’t paired a phone. You can still give them the errand, but they won’t see it until they pair. The form tells you this under the field.

What the runner sees

In CinemaCrew they open Runner, then the Errands tab. An errand shows the address, the due time, your notes and an ETA. Navigate opens directions. Tapping Start moves the card to En route on your board, and Mark done moves it to Done. They can add proof photos from the same screen.

Find a runner, or change the plan

  1. Locate them

Click Locate on a card. The map flies to that runner, opens their pin and draws the path they took. If they aren’t sharing their location, a message tells you. A card with no one on it has no Locate button.

  2. Give it to someone else

Click the name on the card and pick another crew member from the list.

  3. Set the status yourself

The switch at the bottom of each card reads Assigned, En route and Done. Click one when a runner’s phone is dead or they forgot to tap it.
