Every column

Seven columns per shot: time, label, thumbnail, shot type, characters, description and delete. Drag the edge of the Characters or Description heading to resize it.

The columns

Column What it shows
Time The estimated start time on its shoot day, like 10:13a. A dash means the scene isn’t scheduled.
Shot The panel’s label, like 1A. It comes from the storyboard.
Thumbnail A small copy of the panel’s picture. Hover it to see it large.
Shot Type WIDE, MED, CU and the rest. Saves as soon as you pick.
Characters Who is in frame for this shot. A dash means nobody.
Description What the shot is. Click to edit.
Trash can Appears on hover. Deletes the shot after you confirm.
The pointer on the 1A thumbnail, with the panel shown large beside it

The Characters and Description headings have a thin handle on their right edge. Drag it to widen the column. The width is remembered next time.

Unscheduled and deleted rows

Rows for scenes that aren’t on a shoot day yet sit at the bottom of the card under an Unscheduled bar. They are faded, with a dashed line under them. Hover one to read it.

A deleted shot moves to the bottom of its card, struck through, below a dashed line. The arrow at the end of the row brings it back.

How start times are worked out

Times come from the schedule. Each shoot day starts at its first shot time, or 10:00a if none is set. Each scene gets 20 minutes per eighth of a page, in the order the day lists them. A scene’s shots are spread evenly across its time, in the order you dragged them into. The card lists each day’s shots in time order.

Change a scene’s page count, or move it to another day, and the times change with it.

Where else shots show up

A shot’s picture and label come from its storyboard panel. On the Takes tab, each take carries the same kind of label, like 1A.
