Working through the shot list

Board a scene and its panels appear here. Set each shot’s type, who’s in frame and a description, drag rows into shooting order, then press Export PDF.

Get shots onto the list

The list fills from storyboard panels. Board a scene on the Storyboards tab and its panels show up here as shots, labeled 1A, 1B and so on. With no boards yet, the tab says so and stays empty.

The header shows the total shot count and, in amber, how many are unscheduled. When shoot days have dates, the date range shows under the title.

The table at the top has one row per location. It lists the scene numbers, with runs like 1–4 written as a range, then counts Shots, Scheduled and Unscheduled. Click a row to jump to that location’s card.

Fill in a location’s shots

  1. Find the card

Each card is headed by its location, like INT Rialto Cinema, with the scene numbers in grey. Badges show its shot, scheduled and unscheduled counts. A card holds every day shot there. Each day opens with a grey bar naming the day, its date and its scenes, like Day 1 · Mon, Sep 21 · Sc. 1–4, and its shots follow in the order they come up.

  2. Set the shot type

Pick from the Shot Type menu: WIDE, MED, CU, ECU, OTS, 2-SHOT, EST, INS, AERIAL, LOW, HIGH or POV.

  3. Pick who's in frame

Click the Characters cell. A checklist opens with the scene’s cast under In this scene and everyone else under Elsewhere in project. Tick the people this shot shows.

  4. Write the description

Click the Description cell and type. Enter jumps to the next row. Your text saves when you leave the cell.

  5. Put the day in order

Drag a shot up or down to change its place within its scene. The start times shift to match. The order of scenes in a day comes from the Schedule, so a shot can’t be dragged past its scene.

Schedule a whole location

A card with unscheduled shots has a Schedule all button. It adds those scenes to the last shoot day. If there are no shoot days yet, you’ll see “Create a shoot day first”. Once every shot on a card is scheduled, the button turns into Unschedule all.

Export a PDF

Press Export PDF in the header. Choose All Scenes, or one scene by number. The PDF opens in a new browser tab.
